How to use the CSV to JSON tool
- Paste your CSV, or copy cells straight from a spreadsheet.
- Keep “First row is headers” on to get objects, or turn it off to get arrays.
- Copy the JSON or download it as a .json file.
Frequently asked questions
Can I paste directly from Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. Copied cells are tab-separated, and the auto-detect setting picks that up.
What does “Convert numbers and booleans” do?
Values like 42, 3.5, true and false become real JSON numbers and booleans instead of strings. Values with leading zeros, such as ZIP codes, stay as text.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. HushConverts converts everything with code that runs in your browser, so your text and files stay on your device. You can even use most tools offline once the page has loaded.
