Frequently asked questions
Are these UUIDs unique?
Version 4 UUIDs have 122 random bits from a cryptographically secure generator. The chance of a duplicate is so small it can be ignored in practice.
Is a GUID the same as a UUID?
Yes. GUID is Microsoft’s name for the same 128-bit identifier, often written in uppercase with braces.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. HushConverts converts everything with code that runs in your browser, so your text and files stay on your device. You can even use most tools offline once the page has loaded.
