- All five hashes appear together.
- Paste a published checksum in “Compare” to verify a download.
Frequently asked questions
Which hash should I use?
Use SHA-256 for checksums and general integrity checks. MD5 and SHA-1 are broken for security purposes but still common for verifying downloads.
Can I hash large files?
Yes. Files are read and hashed in your browser. Very large files (several GB) depend on your device’s memory.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. HushConverts converts everything with code that runs in your browser, so your text and files stay on your device. You can even use most tools offline once the page has loaded.
